Current News Happy New Year everyone! We had a great turn out on a very snowy Sunday at the beginning of January for our Junior Church New Year party. The games and chocolate fountain kept everyone happy! Here’s a quick update on our teaching up to Easter. We’ve decided to take a break from the Scripture Union teaching material and will be looking at David. We’ll start this coming Sunday (January 23rd) with the famous story of him defeating Goliath then go on to look at his life when he became King. We have lots of fun activities each week for the children including designing swords and shields, making fig cakes, making up some rap songs and lots of other stuff. We also hope we can get the older ones to do some soldier-like archery at Lendrick Muir – more on that later! Whilst doing this we’ll also have an ongoing art project which we want all the children to help with. It’ll be a stained glass window effect canvas which we hope to hang in the church eventually. We have painting shirts at the church so we promise to keep your children as clean as we can! Hope to see you in church soon. |
